I still hear my Dad's voice telling me, that whatever you decide to do, take it on to be the best you can be. Study those that are experts and follow their direction and habits. After a while you become a expert with the skills and knowledge you will gain. Then he always told me to try to mentor someone in your success.

What's the best advice you ever received, and who gave it to you?

My Grandmother told me there is always something you can do at one age that you can't do at another. When I was younger I didn't quite understand what that meant, as I have gotten older I realize she was right. We should embrace each year because you will only be that age once. You will be able to learn, see or do things at one age that you won't at any other.

What's the best advice you ever received, and who gave it to you?The owner of the first company I went to work for in the garment industry was a hardnosed businessman and a tough negotiator. He was fond of saying that you should never be afraid to ask for what you want from a vendor. No matter how unreasonable your request, the worst thing that can happen is they will say no. But if they say yes, your way ahead of the game! Judy Smith
